Lady GaGa : Behind The Scenes On Lady GaGa Judas Video

Actors Norman Reedus, who played the title role in Lady GaGa’s Judas video, and Rick Gonzalez, who played Jesus, have spoken to MTV about what it was like to work with the star on the much-hyped video.

Rick, who starred in the E4 series Reaper, told our US Team that he was amazed the Born This Way star even knew who he was. "I'm sitting in my house; I get a call from my manager. She says, 'Lady GaGa wants you to be in the video’. I'm like, 'Oh, cool. Lady GaGa who?' and she's like, 'Rick, the Lady GaGa'. And I'm like, 'Wow, OK'. And the first thing that comes to my mind is, 'How does she know I even exist?!'”
He added that the Judas set was so big, it felt more like a film than a music video, particularly during the opening scene featuring biker gangs. “They had this amazing huge production set up for the video," he explained. "It really did feel that way. We were on a bike, on a flatbed truck, and I have GaGa behind me, and we're like moving around the lot, just running around. So it was definitely grand in that scheme."

Norman, who played Judas, added that the star was fearless during the motorcycle scene.  "She wasn't driving the bike, but she was riding on the back... She was way off the back of the seat and hanging backwards and stuff," he said. "Which was a daredevil move; it was pretty intense.” The chart-topper recently responded to criticism that the Judas video was offensive to Catholics. "I don't view the video as a religious statement. I view it as social statement,” she insisted. “I view it as a cultural statement. It's a metaphor. It's not meant to be a biblical lesson."
